CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (CSK-L2)
This qualification aims to provide learners with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to use counselling skills ethically and safely in various contexts and roles.
The course is validated by the CPCAB (Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body). CPCAB is a UK awarding body that is managed by professional counsellors, trainers and supervisors. Operating for 25 years, they are the only awarding body in Europe to specialise in the field of counselling.
The Certificate in Counselling Skills program is a part-time course where you will learn various listening and responding skills to improve your interactions with others. The course is highly interactive, incorporating formal teaching with individual, small-group, and whole-group activities. This qualification could lead to employment or enhance employability for those in roles supporting others, such as in health and social care, teaching and learning, support and project work, advocacy and mediation and other helping roles.
Minimum Age
The minimum age is 18 years old.
Progression
Successful candidates may progress onto the: Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies.

This qualification is suitable for:
Three main groups:
1. Individuals beginning their professional counsellor training.
2. Professionals in other roles who wish to acquire counselling skills to enhance their practice.
3. Individuals looking to improve their personal and professional relationships as part of their personal development.
The program also offers additional skills for those already employed, which could increase opportunities for promotion and career advancement.
Entry Requirements
No previous training or experience is required, however students need to have an adequate level of literacy handwriting skills and basic computer skills.
Candidates are required to pass an interview.
Attendance
Students need to maintain a 90% minimum attendance rate throughout the course.
